At the core of Redesigning White Dominant Culture (RdWDC) is the belief that our actions (design decisions), and therefore designs, are informed by our biases (which are informed by our lived experiences, identities, ideas, beliefs, values and emotions). If we, as leaders/designers, are not aware of these biases (the good and harmful ones), we run the risk of baking these biases into our decisions; therefore impacting the outcome of those decisions (products, process, and culture) and potentially reproducing inequitable power relationships informed by White Dominant Culture.
